There are two sets provided in this repository, that function differently, and most likely play differently. Hot keys are something you don't change by default, you allow the players to change them, dont do it for them. The latest update created two new hotkey groups, scroll all the way to the bottom of the hotkey groups to find the new location for the Gate and Zooming hotkeys. Add the game to any allowlist feature in your antivirus program. yea its pretty stupid that all the hotkeys were changed. Check your antivirus settings to make sure Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is not being blocked. A couple of common rules make these hotkeys work well together. Some antivirus programs may prevent the game from launching. The default hotkeys for these did not come natural, thus these hotkeys exist. What I did inside the game after setting my hotkeys, I changed the name to my nickname, is the 'number file' it will be there, in my case its called 'vitinchan keys. The grid does not apply to the rest of the hotkeys, such as select buildings and go to entities. villager build menu, building options, unit stances and formation.
The new grid is great, but it does only apply to the commands of a selected entity. Similarly to Throwing Axemen, Mamelukes are melee units, but they throw their scimitar from a range of 3. Mamelukes can be upgraded to Elite Mamelukes in the Imperial Age. It is a camel unit with a ranged melee attack and an attack bonus against cavalry but not camels. The Definitive Edition changes the most of the hotkeys to a grid based system compared to its predecessors. The Mameluke is the unique unit of the Saracens in Age of Empires II.
